TikVid is a free, browser-based tool to download and convert public TikTok videos to MP4, HD or MP3 — built for creators and everyday users who want a fast, no-friction way to keep a copy of a video.
What TikVid is
TikVid is a technical tool that fetches a public TikTok video from a link you provide and converts it into a standard MP4 file, a higher-resolution HD version, or an MP3 audio track. There is no app to install and no account to create.
How it works
When you submit a link, TikVid pulls the public source video and runs it through our own optimized conversion engine to deliver a clean MP4, a sharper HD copy, or an MP3 in seconds. The processed file is held only long enough for you to download it and is then removed automatically. We do not build or host a public library of other people's videos.
Who it is for
TikVid is aimed at creators saving or re-editing their own posts, and at users who have the rights or permission to reuse a given video — for offline viewing, archiving, or content they are authorised to use.
Formats
MP4 (normal) is a lightweight, widely compatible file. HD gives the highest resolution available from the source. MP3 extracts the audio only, useful for music or voiceovers.
Responsible use
You are responsible for having the rights or permission to download and reuse any content you process, and for respecting TikTok's terms and the rights of the original creator. Private accounts cannot be accessed, and we remove content on a valid rights-holder request.
